Ghana captain John Mensah has served notice that he is no longer interested in staying at Stade de Gerland after four years at the club.
The 29-year-old, who failed to disclose his next destination, said his agent is frantically working around the clock to land him a new deal within the shortest possible time.
“I will be leaving Lyon this summer, but for now I can’t disclose where I will be going,” the former Rennes defender told Accra-based Joy FM.
“My agent is working on my move so I will leave everything to him.”
Mensah is reported to have agreed to terminate his contract with the French Ligue 1 side with a year left on his five-year pact.
The defender was on loan with English Premier League outfit, Sunderland in 2011. He has suffered several injury worries and that has affected his performance in recent times.
