Ghana’s Ebo Andoh: Porto’s Christian Atsu is my inspiration
The promising winger has hailed his senior for the attitude he displays on the field and has declared his desire to emulate him in the future
Porto youngster Ebo Andoh has hailed the remarkable progress of team-mate Christian Atsu into the Black Stars squad over the past 12 months, adding that he is using his friend as his inspiration.Andoh, 19, is following in the footsteps of his colleague and believes he can learn a great deal from Atsu's development to becoming a Black Stars player.
“I am so happy for Christian,” he told Goal.com. “His success is really making me work hard to reach the top too.”
“I am really working as hard as I can to follow my friend into the national team. I am delighted for him.
“His success shows me what is possible. It's all about hard work. I saw how much effort he put in and that is my guide to following in his footsteps,” Andoh outlined.
The Porto-duo are close friends and they have helped each other since Andoh's arrival in Portugal. The former King Faisal Babes star believes he made the right choice of club with regards to developing his career.
“I have learned a lot since I arrived at Porto,” he continued.
“I am still learning and I know there is so much more I can work on in order for a bright future. It was a great move for me to come here. They like the way I play, they counter-attack and that really suits my style. It was a big step in my career.
“I will find out in the next couple of weeks what the future holds. Porto will let me know their plans and I am just looking forward to continuing my development,” he added.
