Budding Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has made a transfer move to Ukrainian side FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

The 21-year-old passed a medical on Tuesday and will conclude a five million euro deal with the 2009-10 season’s fourth placed team in the Ukrainian league.

According to Ghanasoccernet.com, his former Swiss side FC Basel are expected to scoop US$7m from the deal while Inkoom’s wages will triple for a two-year contract from what he currently earns.

The player who dazzled at both the 2010 Nations Cup and World Cup was airlifted by a special jet from his Swiss club’s training in Spain on Monday night.

The move ends speculation the defender will be leaving to Spanish giants Barcelona.
