I Need Time Before I Can Play For AC Milan – Ghanaian Youngster Dominic Adiyiah
The youngster admits he needs to wait before joining the stars…
Ghana Under 20 World Cup hero Dominic Adiyiah admits that although he was psychologically down when he was transferred on loan from AC Milan to Reggina, he has come to realize that it was a good move to groom him.Adiyiah said it would take forever to break into the star-studded AC Milan side at the moment, but getting regular playing time with a lower side would prepare him well to take up the mantle at the appropriate time.
"I also had great expectations when the Milan deal was sealed," the reigning Best Player of Ghana told the Graphic Sports.
"I was eager to play at that level but the reality is that it may take a while, not too long though."
"I have come to understand that big teams like Milan are always hungry for success. They are eager to snatch the young potentials ahead of the others and groom them to their demands.
"The challenge for me is AC Milan is a star studded side. I need time to get to that level. That can't be achieved overnight. But I have to state that I do not regret the decision to join AC Milan.
"I must confess initially I was psychologically down but I've gotten over that. I take solace in what happened to Dede Ayew. He was also given out on loan by Marseille. He went on to prove himself and now see how he's faring after returning to Marseille.
"I admit our circumstances are different but I think I can take a cue and be motivated by that.”
