Ghana's local league top scorer has been off the pitch for six weeks and hopes to return with a bang.....Last season's top scorer of the Ghana league, Alex Asamoah, is itching to return to the pitch after undergoing a hand operation.
"I wish I was training with my colleagues but you all know why I have been absent since the start of the season. I have recovered well and by God's grace I will be back.
"We have good players but many of them are new. The coaches are in to do a good work. We have to give them time.
"I will urge my colleagues to continue training well. God is alive and with Him on our side, we will survive every difficulty this season," Asamoah told Kotoko Express, the club's official newspaper.
The striker’s onslaught upfront is conspicuously missing in Kotoko and this could be seen in their poor performance this season.
