Former Nigeria international Taribo West has told Goal.com that Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi is on the right track as he begins a revolution to give the national team a new direction.
West noted that the trainers new methods with the national team are capable of bringing back the glory days of the side.
"I must say that I love what is happening with the Super Eagles. Every player in the team knows that it is not a place where they can just stroll into and pick a shirt,” West told Goal.com.
"Keshi has created a situation where nobody is sure of what will happen next. So I must commend him that he has been able to maintain a balance between the home and foreign based and that is good for the game.
"There is now a kind of confidence that radiates among the home based and it is good for the league.
"None of the players will just leave the country because they want to attract the national team coaches.
"I think it is a good thing that everything is working out right for the team. I believe that all things will work well for the team.
"But I must also advise that Keshi needs all the support from the Nigeria Football Federation.
"All efforts will come to nothing if there is no proper support for Keshi and the team. I believe that the past glory will gradually return when all hands are on deck," West said.
