After the ouster of coach Erasmus Onuh following the home loss to Rangers, an official of the side is optimistic they will not be relegated
Team manager of Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club Alloy Chukwuemeka has boasted that the team will not be relegated at the end of the current Nigeria Premier League season.
The Ilorin-based side is currently at the bottom of the NPL with five points from nine matches, but the official is hopeful that they will soon begin to churn out good results after they sacked coach Erasmus Onuh last week and replaced him with Kabir Dogo.
"We are not bothered because there are potentials in the team. We may not have started well this season, but there is no way we can be relegated because the players in the team have resolved not to allow the team go down to the National League,” Chukwuemeka told Goal.com.
"The team is doing everything possible to avoid a drop and the management has been able to motivate the players after the painful loss to Rangers in Ilorin last weekend.
"Kabir Dogo is now the interim coach and he has promised a turnaround for the team. His first game is against Kaduna United and we want to see what he can do. But I know him very well and he has been with Bukola Babes for over six years.
"Just watch out for the club in subsequent matches. A lot of football followers will be shocked to see how we are going to move from the bottom of the league to a respectable position," Chukwuemeka said.
