thumbnail Hello,

The Dream Team V will test their strength in an invitational tournament ahead of the Caf Under-23 championships, which will be an avenue to secure qualification for London 2012

The Nigeria men’s Olympic team will play in a four-nation invitational tournament in Morocco in November according to the Nigeria Football Federation.

The team that is under the tutelage of coach Austin Eguavoen will engage in the tournament ahead of camping for the 8-nation Caf Under-23 competition where three African representatives will emerge to play at the London 2012 games.

It is Nigeria’s last hope to secure representation at an international competition next year after the senior team failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations. The women’s team also failed to earn a ticket to the London games.

Eguavoen is presently on a tour of Europe where he is trying to secure agreements with players’ clubs for their release during the main competition that commences on November 26 in Morocco.

Nigeria were silver medallists at the Beijing Olympic games in 2008.
