Nigeria went into the game trailing by a goal after losing in Dar Es Salam a fortnight ago. However, Ehiosun soon put the home team ahead midway through the first half before Oseni scored just into the second half. Musa added a late goal in added time to complete the rout.
The game had been delayed by a day due to heavy rain fall and it was supposed to have allowed the Tanzanians some extra rest, as they arrived in Nigeria only a day before.
It was Austin Eguavoen’s side that triumphed at the end and they will now play in a final qualifier that will see three of the remaining eight African teams go through to London while the fourth placed side will enter into a play off with a team from Asia.
Countries that will play the final eight alongside the Nigerians in a yet to be decided country in December are Morocco, Algeria, Cote D'Ivoire, Senegal, Egypt, South Africa and Gabon.
Nigeria won the Olympic gold in 1996 and were silver medallists at Beijing 2008.
