Tulio Returns For Japan To Deal With Australian Power

Japan are set to welcome back defender Marcus Tulio Tanaka from injury for Wednesday’s friendly against Finland in Tokyo.
The powerful centre-back has recovered from knee surgery and is seen as vital ahead of next week’s 2010 World Cup qualifier against Australia in Yokohama.

Japan are concerned about the size and strength enjoyed by the Socceroos and the return of the Urawa star has helped to ease those worries.

"There's absolutely no problem with the knee," Tulio told Japanese media.

"I need to get a game under my belt so I want to play the full 90 minutes against Finland."

Australia are on top of Group One with nine points from three games while Japan have two points less.
