One of the major departments in need of reinforcing is the attack, where the club may lose top striker Sergio Pellissier.
As a result Chievo have been looking at a potential move for a number of talented strikers, who will help to lift them off the bottom of the log in an attempt to avoid relegation to Serie B.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport 28-year-old Greek international Angelos Charisteas is the most likely candidate to join the Flying Donkeys, as he currently plays for Nuremberg in Germany's second division.
The striker may be one of two strikers that Chievo intends to purchase during the transfer period, and the allure of the Italian top flight may be enough to attract the match winner from the Euro 2004 final.
