The Emiliani returned to the top flight this summer, but a sub-par summer transfer campaign has inevitably brought about a nightmare start to life in Serie A, and coach Daniele Arrigoni was shown the door last week.
Former Lazio and Inter defender Sinisa Mihajlovic took over the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara hot seat and the Serb is eager to bolster his ranks to increase their chances of survival in the bitter relegation dogfight that is shaping up.
The Rossoblù are reportedly on the verge of signing ex-Nerazzurri left-back Cesar, who could be at Mihajlovic’s disposal as early as next Tuesday, but are also set to add to their midfield line by bringing in Mutarelli.
The 30-year-old sensationally fell out with Aquile President Claudio Lotito this summer and was frozen out of the side, but the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled in his favour and the ex-Atalanta man was able to rescind the contract with the Formello-based outfit.
However, it remains to be seen whether Bologna President Francesca Menarini will meet his economic demands, as Mediagol.it reports that the midfielder has asked for a three-year deal worth €1.3m per season.
