Robert Acquafresca scored the winner against Fiorentina last week from the penalty spot in a 1-0 victory, but it was a bittersweet victory as the half-Polish striker also was injured in that match.
The player, on-loan from Inter, was originally ruled out of his side's encounter with Napoli on Sunday, but his recovery is ahead of schedule and he may now make an appearance against the Partenopei, according to Calciomercato.com.
If the Italy U-21 international is unable to play, then he will likely be replaced by Joaquin Larrivey in the starting XI, who will partner Jeda in attack.
Coach Massimiliano Allegri has led the side to a number of positive results after losing their first five matches and Acquafresca has been a key memeber of the mini-revivial, so his presence against Napoli is key to Cagliari's chances.
However, the Sardinian side are still without defender Francesco Pisano.
