Atalanta recorded an impressive 3-1 victory at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri D'Italia against Napoli last weekend and were firing on all cylinders once again against amateur side Casazza.
The Bergamo-based side easily ran out winners, scoring fourteen goals, including one from striker Christian Vieri who is returning to match fitness after an extended period out of action.
Coach Luigi Delneri had nearly his full squad at his disposal, with only three absentees due to injury or international duty: Luca Gigarini, Antonio D'Agostino and Gyorgy Garics.
In the first half in-form player Sergio Floccari scored a brace, while Ferreira Pinto and Diego De Ascentis added a strike each.
In the second half the floodgates opened for the Orobici as Marino Defendi scored a hat-trick and Alessio Cerci, Tiberio Guarente, Michele Marconi, Giacomo Bonaventura, and Christian Vieri all added a goal of their own.
Atalanta face struggling Reggina on Sunday afternoon in Serie A action.
