The gifted Brazilian attacking midfielder has been with the Orobici since 2006 and has become a pivotal piece in coach Gigi Delneri’s jigsaw.
He started all the 38 Serie A games last term and eased the Nerazzurri past high-flying Napoli last weekend, putting in a superb performance and scoring a wonder goal to give his side the lead.
The Eternal City outfit were not able to find a worthy replacement for Inter-bound Amantino Mancini this summer and Roman media claim that transfer guru Daniele Pradé could table a bid for Ferreira Pinto next January.
However, his agent Francesco Caliandro admits that his client is eager to stay focused on the Bergamaschi at the moment and that he has not received any official proposals.
“I am aware that the lad is being tracked by several sides, but no real interest has been shown by Roma for the time being,” he told calciomercato.com
“Nonetheless, it’s possible that they will put forward an offer in the near future and we would be willing to discuss it.
“I cannot deny that the player would welcome a move to the Giallorossi, but I think it’s best to await the start of the transfer window to better assess the situation.”
