Crystal Palace midfielder Ben Watson has made no secret of his desire to move away from Selhurst Park this summer. The midfielder is highly rated and has been tracked by a number of clubs. According to the Mirror, Queens Park Rangers have won the battle to capture his signature.
Apparently, Ipswich wanted to include Watson in a deal which would see Irish forward Alan Lee move from Portman Road to Selhurst Park. However, Watson apparently wants to stay in London, so a move to QPR is on the cards. The Hoops will pay £2million for his services, all going well.
The same newspaper also claims that Palace are set to sell forward James Scowcroft. According to the story, Eagles boss Neil Warnock (pictured) will allow Bristol City to take the striker for £500,000 after sealing a move for the aforementioned Lee.
Warnock has admitted that there could also be more players on their way out of Selhurst Park. The wily gaffer said: “There are a few players in the dressing room at the moment that don’t want to be here and you can sense that to be honest. But you have to move on and grit your teeth.”
