Dutch giants Ajax received bad news following the 2-2 draw against Rotterdam side Feyenoord on Sunday. Serbian wunderkind Miralem Sulejmani left the pitch injured after only ten minutes through injury.

According to initial reports, the tricky winger has sustained a hamstring injury and will be sidelined for at least four to six weeks. However, the report hasn’t been confirmed by the Ajax medical staff yet.

Manager Marco van Basten opted to rest his star player in the final part of Ajax's UEFA Cup match against Borac in order for him to be fresh for today’s crucial match. However, his plan didn’t work out as expected.

The 19-year-old Serbian international signed for Ajax from Eredivisie side Heerenveen last summer for a record fee of 16.25 million euros, but his injury will prevent the hot prospect from proving that he’s worth his transfer fee for the next few weeks.
