Real Mallorca are a side in trouble in the moment, of that there is no doubt, and it appears the board are looking to use coach, Gregorio Manzano, as a scapegoat for the problems.
The island side have picked up just two points from the last eighteen on offer and the fans had the white handkerchiefs out after a poor defeat to bottom of the table Recreativo Huelva at the weekend.
However, their anger was mainly directed at president of the club, Vicenç Grande, rather than the coach, who they do not feel is fully to blame.
Despite Manzano having the support of the Counsel and the fans though, it is reported by AS that the president is still looking to replace him, with former coach, Serra Ferrer.
Grande held a meeting with Manzano yesterday in which they discussed the problems affecting the side, and the overall consensus at the moment is that there is not much positive about the team.
Manzano has been in charge of Mallorca since 2006, whilst Ferrer was on the island for eight years, from 1985-1993. The latter has since taken the helm at Real Betis, Barcelona and AEK Athens, where he was dismissed in February this year.
Whilst Manzano is not certain to leave at the moment, it seems that things are getting worse and worse for the side, and should they fall into the relegation zone, it will be hard for him to maintain his stay.
