Didier Drogba says Burak Yilmaz gets his vote for the player of the season at Galatasaray after an impressive campaign for the Super Lig champions.
Burak has netted 24 times in the league to propel Fatih Terim's side to the title, and caught the attention of Europe's big guns with a stunning return in the Champions League, as he scored eight goals in just nine appearances in the run to the quarter-finals.
Drogba arrived in January along with fellow star name Wesley Sneijder, but the former Chelsea favourite insists there is only one candidate for player of the season in Istanbul.
"For me it's Burak Yilmaz's season. [He's scored] too many goals. Burak is the best," he told reporters at a press conference.
Galatasaray ended the season ten points clear at the top of the table and Drogba has admitted he is delighted with the achievement after moving from Shanghai Shenhua in the winter - but is eager for continued success.
"We have the best team in Turkey," the 35-year-old told stated.
"I'm very happy and next year I want us to be champions again. Next season I will have a chance to prepare with the team."
