Fenerbahce terminate Alex contract after internal bust-up
The Brazilian midfielder has seen his contract annulled by the Istanbul giants after eight years of service at the Sukru Saracoglu, following a dispute with coach Aykut Kocaman

The Brazilian No.10 took to Twitter to break the news, but insisted that he remains a fan of the club despite the acrimonious nature of his departure from Istanbul.
He wrote: "My contract has been annulled. Seeing it torn apart was the most difficult experience of my life. Fenerbahce lost a player but have won a fan."
Fener also informed the Turkish Stock Exchange of their decision to release Alex, who had played for the side since joining from Cruzeiro in 2003.
He lifted three Super Lig titles in his nine-year stint, scoring 137 goals in 242 appearances, and became a cult hero among his side's supporters.
A statue of the midfielder was erected outside the Sukru Saracoglu only a fortnight ago, but he had a much-publicised fall out with coach Aykut Kocaman which ultimately sealed his fate.
A string of subliminal tweets aimed at his bosses ensued over the summer, but Aziz moved to back his trainer and subsequently suspended the player after Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Kasimpasa.
