Ibrahimovic wants to win titles at Paris Saint-Germain, says Maxwell

The Brazilian full-back shares a close relationship with the Sweden international, having played with him at various clubs, and he believes the striker remains as ambitious as ever
Paris Saint-Germain defender Maxwell has quashed suggestions that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has lost the hunger to win trophies.

The Swedish forward moved to the French capital outfit during the summer, after being sold by AC Milan, and has made an instant impact on his new surroundings, notching up eight goals in only six matches.

His decision to join the Ligue 1 giants was met with scepticism from some sections of the media, but Maxwell, who played with Ibrahimovic at Ajax, Inter and Barcelona before PSG, insists his long-term colleague still wants to add to his medal haul.

"He has the same ambitions," the left-back told reporters. "He may be a little quieter nowadays but he still has the same motivation as before. He still wants to always win."

The Parisians' next match is against Sochaux on Saturday, as they look to extend their run of victories to five.
