'Kojak' Galliani never enquired about Yanga-Mbiwa, insists Nicollin

Louis Nicollin has rubbished claims made by Adriano Galliani that AC Milan have made a bid for Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, referring to the Italian official as 'Kojak'.
The Rossoneri vice-president appeared to confirm earlier on Friday that the club had proposed the newly-crowned Ligue 1 champions an offer for the centre-back, following the departure of Thiago Silva to Paris Saint-Germain for €42 million.
However, the Montpellier supremo, never one to mince his words, has now accused Milan of fabricating the story, led by the bald-headed protagonist from the 1970s American cop drama, and has challenged them to meet his asking price for the stopper.
"'Kojak' never called me," Nicollin told Canal+. "This makes me laugh. Those guys just got out of bed. They sold a guy for €45 million euros [Thiago Silva to PSG] and they want to steal one of ours.
"If they offered €25m or €30m then fair enough, but from what I understood, they merely come in with €5m or €6m. [Galliani should] go play in movies and not hassle us."
Despite receiving over €60m from PSG for both Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Milan have so far yet to reinvest the funds into new signings, with the likes of Riccardo Montolivo and Bakaye Traore arriving on free transfers.
