Karabukspor sign striker Lomana LuaLua from Blackpool
Congolese forward's short stint at Bloomfield Road, where he made 32 appearances last season, comes to a close after agreeing a two-year deal with the Turkish Super League club
Karabukspor have completed the signing of Blackpool striker Lomana LuaLua on a free transfer.
The 31-year-old Congolese forward has signed a two-year deal with the Blue Flame.
LuaLua made 32 appearances for the Seasiders after agreeing a short-term deal but, after scoring just four league goals, the former Newcastle United man fell out of favour with boss Ian Holloway and failed to make the bench for last week’s play-off final defeat against West Ham.
Karabukspor's press secretary Ziya Alak told NTV Sport that the club consider the striker as a very good signing and believe they are building a strong squad for next season.
LuaLua is the first signing by new Karabukspor boss Michael Skibbe, who managed Galatasary and Eskisehirspor before arriving at Yenisehir Stadium following a disastrous spell at Hertha BSC, where he lost his first five games in charge.
