Vagner Love: Zenit are the most racist club in Russia

The Brazilian striker insisted that racial abuse does not affect him and criticised the attitude of the St Petersburg fans
Flamengo striker Vagner Love has launched a scathing attack on Zenit, labelling them the most racist club in Russia.

The 27-year-old, who signed for Flamengo in January after a six-year spell at CSKA Moscow, was recently the target of racial abuse from Emelec fans during a Copa Libertadores clash in Ecuador.

Love admitted that he is not a stranger to that situation after playing in Russia and insisted that the racist chants do not disturb him.

"The monkey chants in the match against Emelec did not affect me because that was not the first time this has happened," he told Globoesporte.

"It happened to me two or three times when I played against Zenit, the most racist club in Russia.

"I never said anything, I was never angry. That is just their way. Unfortunately, some players could not get over it, but thanks to God, I never had a problem.

"It goes in one ear and out the other. Life goes on."
