New Bulgaria Coach Lothar Matthaeus Vows To Play Entertaining Football

New Bulgaria coach Lothar Matthaeus has pledged to make his team an entertaining one and is also hopeful of leading them to the Euro 2012 finals.

The former Germany international was unveiled in Sofia as the new coach of the Bulgarian national team after signing a one-year deal with the option to extend it by two more years. Matthaeus is confident of doing a good job and is also optimistic of playing good football.

"This is a big challenge for me but I think Bulgaria has the potential to do well," said the 49-year-old, according to "The most important thing is full dedication of the players.

"I want them to entertain, feel the pleasure of playing and bring the fans joy. I love using an offensive style and with hard work I believe we could get positive results.

"I am a person who thinks positively and believes we can finish second in our qualifying group," he added. "I know it won't be easy after the defeats against England and Montenegro but we should all be positive. We all should work very hard to reach the targets."
