Fabio Celestini has recently been kept out of the Getafe line-up by recent signing Eugen Polanski and Javier Casquero, yet he could be set for a return on Sunday as the Azulones meet Mallorca at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
"It's better to be part of the team on Sunday than on Thursdays, but I say this with calm," he told the official Getafe website.
"If I'm not in again, I'm happy to return to the starting eleven when it's my turn.
"I don't know what goes through the coach's (Victor Munoz's) mind... it's not the same to play with Celestini and [Esteban] Granero, Granero and Polanski, Celestini and Polanski, so we need to wait and see his plans."
The former Marseille hardman admitted that he was unused to being treated as a fringe player.
"It's certainly an unusual situation in my career - I've had a lot of luck in all my playing years so far," he admitted.
Still, Fabio looks ahead with confidence to the visit from Mallorca, and also offered his thoughts on the upcoming Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
"We must win, of course - it's important because they're our rivals. We have to beat them at home - we lost points at their stadium and now we have to recover them," he said.
"As for the Clasico, it's very complicated because in Barça - Madrid anything can happen.
"Clearly Barcelona come in with better morale, but still, Madrid have changed their manager, and they're always Real Madrid, so I'm not confidence of predicting the score."
