thumbnail Hello,

The midfielder has broken a 16-year record in the German top flight - but just how long did it take him to find the back of the net?

Karim Bellarabi scored the fastest Bundesliga goal ever in Bayern Leverkusen's 2-0 win at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

The visitors broke forward straight from kick-off, with their 24-year-old winger nutmegging Matthias Ginter before sliding underneath goalkeeper Mitchell Langerak to put Roger Schmidt's men ahead after just nine seconds.

Prior to Bellarabi's strike, three players - Giovane Elber, Ulf Kirsten and Paul Freier - had held the previous record of 11 seconds. Check out our table of the top 10 fastest goalscorers in the German top flight.
