thumbnail Hello,

Last season's fixture left Dortmund without key players for their Champions League meeting with Malaga, and their boss is eager for a full squad to face Real Madrid

Borussia Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp is concerned at the prospect of another Bundesliga clash with Stuttgart leaving him with a number of injury headaches.

Last March, Kevin Grosskreutz, Sven Bender, Felipe Santana and Marco Reus all picked up problems in BVB's 2-1 victory at Mercedes Benz Arena, while Marcel Schmelzer was forced to wear a protective mask in the Champions League meeting with Malaga after taking a kick to the face.

With a quarter-final tie with Real Madrid looming on the horizon, Klopp is anxious to avoid a repeat of last season's scenario and ensure he has as many fit players as possible to face Carlo Ancelotti's side.

"It will be physically intense, a relegation scrap," he is quoted as saying by Bild ahead of the Stuttgart encounter. "We must adjust to the fact that there are no more friendly games.

"This is a very hard, very important phase. We hope the guys come through well. Even minor problems can mean someone is out for one or two games."

The match kicks off at 15:30CET on Saturday.
