thumbnail Hello,

The right-back missed six months of action with a hip injury but is feeling no ill-effects after returning to the field

Borussia Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek says he is "100 per cent" recovered from the hip injury that has kept him on the sidelines for much of the campaign.

The right-back underwent surgery back in June and then completed a lengthy rehabilitation programme before at last making his return in the 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in November.

His absence coincided with a host of injuries to key first team players at Signal Iduna Park, but having made a further 13 appearances for Dortmund this term, Piszczek insists he is fully fit once again.

He told "For two weeks I was in the phase where it was all about getting my fitness back and moving forward again, but now I can say that I'm not missing anything. I'm 100 %."

Last season the Poland international enjoyed a fruitful partnership with Jakub Blaszczykowski down BVB's right, but the 28-year-old admits he is still working on his understanding with summer signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

"With Kuba we could understand one another without words. Auba is a little bit more difficult. We have not had a lot of game time together but we look better with every game."

Dortmund continue their battle for second place in the Bundesliga when they host Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.
