thumbnail Hello,

The German feels the reigning Bundesliga champions will only get stronger and has stressed that he is happy to play in defence or midfield

Philipp Lahm believes Bayern Munich have what it takes to dominate any team for the full 90 minutes and has warned that they still have room for improvement.

The Bavarians have been in impressive form so far this season, leading the Bundesliga table by seven points with a game in hand while reaching the Champions League knockout stage as group winners, and Lahm has promised there is more to come from Pep Guardiola's men.

"We have the potential to control our opponents for the full 90 minutes for several games in a row," Lahm told the official Bayern site.

"You can always get better at everything. We play dominant football but we keep having phases where we hand our opponents the chance to get back into it. This has to stop."

The Germany international has featured at full-back and in midfield this season and he has insisted that he is feeling comfortable in both positions before joking that playing in attack could prove to be a bridge too far.

"I’m equally at home at right-back or in midfield. I enjoy rising to the challenge.

"To be honest I’m not much of a goalscorer, but I’m only 30. Maybe I’ll still manage it."

Lahm has yet to find the net in 25 appearances in all competitions for Bayern in 2013-14.
