The Poland international is on his way back after going under the knife earlier this year, but he will not take any unnecessary risks
Borussia Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek hopes to be fully match fit and available for selection again by the turn of the year.
The Poland international underwent hip and groin surgery earlier this summer and has not featured for Dortmund so far this season.
And while the 28-year-old is eager to make his comeback, he insists that he will not rush his comeback and risk a further lay-off.
"My goal is to come back for the second half of the season," Piszczek told Bild.
"Even though I have a little pain every now and then, it is definitely much better than before the operation. I am satisfied.
"But I will do nothing unnecessary to put myself under pressure after such a major operation."
