The 53-year-old former striker believes die Mannschaft now have an even stronger side than in any of their previous three triumphs
Voller - who himself guided die Mannschaft to a runners-up finish at the 2002 World Cup - is in awe of his nation's current selection and believes they are ready to surpass their third-place finish in South Africa three years ago and semi-final exit at Euro 2012, when they head for Brazil next summer.
"From my perspective, we have our best squad of all time," Voller told the Express. "Better than the 1954, 1974 or 1990 [World Cup-winning] squads.
"We have so many young, good German players; this has never happened before.
"We have a great opportunity [to win in Brazil], even though luck and the little details will, of course, play a part.
"But other teams are more afraid of us than we are of them."
German football is riding high at the moment, with Bayern Munich having gone head-to-head with fellow Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in the final of last season's Champions League.
