HANNOVER 3-0 FORTUNA DUSSELDORF
Fortuna Dusseldorf are relegated to the second league after being crushed 3-0 by Hannover at the AWD Arena.
Steven Cherundolo provided Mame Biram Diouf with a fine pass in the 36th minute and the striker prevailed against the F95 defense before nutmegging Fabian Giefer to give his side the lead.
Halfway into the second half, Didier Ya Konan extended the lead by slotting the ball into the empty net, after he got provided with a perfectly timed pass by Diouf.
And, in the 76th minute, Ya Konan scored a double by accurately placing an effort into the short corner of Giefer's target.
H96 finished ninth in the league, while Norbert Meyer's men have no chance of staying in Germany's top-flight as they reside 17th after Hoffenheim performed a late comeback to beat Borussia Dortmund and leapfrog Dusseldorf in the standings.
HAMBURG 0-1 BAYER LEVERKUSEN
Thanks to a late Stefan Kiessling strike, Champions League-qualified Bayer Leverkusen were able to conclude their fine season with a 1-0 win over Hamburg at the Imtech Arena.
Die Rothosen were eager to put their stamp on the match and held Leverkusen for 90 minutes of the match with a great display of fighting spirit.
However, when the match hit injury-time, Sidney Sam delivered the ball to this season's Bundesliga top-scorer Kiessling, who then fired into the lower-hand corner of the target from 15 yards out.
Leverkusen finished second and are now looking forward to playing in the Champions League next term, while Hamburg occupy seventh positon and therefore will miss out on playing in the Europa League.
EINTRACHT FRANKFURT 2-2 WOLFSBURG
A 2-2 home draw against Wolfsburg proved to be enough for Eintracht Frankfurt to qualify for the Europa League next term.
In the eighth minute, a corner for the guests was fetched by an unmarked Jan Polak, who seized his opportunity to tap in for the 1-0.
And after a great chance for Frankfurt, die Wolfe moved quickly into a counterattack in the 19th minute, extending their lead courtesy of Brazilian playmaker Diego.
However, before the break, die Adler got one back when Alexander Meier stepped up for a penalty and slotted the ball in the right corner with Diego Benaglio opting for the left.
Finally, an own goal by Ricardo Rodriguez saved the hosts a point, as they will now relish their chance of impressing in the Europa League as well.
NURNBERG 3-2 WERDER BREMEN
Nurnberg defeated Werder Bremen, who recently parted with coach Thomas Schaaf, with a 3-2 win at the Grundig Stadion.
Zlatko Junuzovic passed into Kevin De Bruyne's path in the 37th minute and the Belgian talent coolly dinked the ball over Raphael Schafer.
After the break, however, the hosts restored parity when Marvin Plattenhardt found Per Nilsson with a corner. The Sweden defender headed on to the post, but then fired in the rebound without thinking twice.
Then, another corner in the 81th minute saw der Club take the lead. Again, Mak took it and found Sebastian Polter this time, who headed home.
Mak then provided his second assist when he crossed to Thomas Pekhart to tap in and, a minute later, De Bruyne completed a double to make it 3-2 to the visitors.
With the result, Nurnberg finished 10th while Werder Bremen sit 14th.
STUTTGART 2-2 MAINZ
Points were shared between Stuttgart and Mainz as the teams drew 2-2 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
An early Nicolai Muller-inspired attack saw the ball ending up on Chinedu Ede's feet, who did not hesitate to blast in his first and only goal of the campaign.
The Swabians, however, were gifted the equaliser in the 22th minute, when Christian Wetklo tried to disarm a cross by Martin Harnik, but instead directed it into his own goal.
Ten minutes later, VFB turned the match in their favour thanks to a fine shot by Artur Boka, but Muller was able to level the score shortly after.
In conclusion, Stuttgart and Mainz both dropped down from their previous positions and now occupy the 12th and 13th spots respectively.
AUGSBURG 3-1 GREUTHER FURTH
In the Bavarian derby, Augsburg recorded a crucial 3-1 victory over already-relegated Greuther Furth at the SGL Arena.
In the 30th minute, a free-kick from the half-right position by Tobias Werner saw the hosts taking the lead, which was doubled by Jan-Ingwer Callsen Bracker via header after another set-piece.
After the break, starting-XI debutant Florian Trinks scored a consolation for the visitors by making the best out of a poorly cleared ball.
But finally, in the 75th minute, Dong-Won Ji was able round off the afternoon's score by rocketing an impressive shot into die Fuggerstadter's target.
Thanks to the result, Augsburg saved themselves from relegation.
