Hoeness: I'm just objective, not arrogant

The Bayern Munich president has played down the significance of his comments claiming Borussia Dortmund were the easiest of the four Champions League semi-finalists
Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has claimed that his previous statement about Borussia Dortmund being the easiest team in the Champions League semi-finals was mere an "objective" one.

The outspoken German had claimed that he would rather draw Jurgen Klopp's side in the last four than Barcelona and Real Madrid but the 61-year-old feels his comments were fair.

"If I'm asked, I always respond honestly," the 61-year-old told Bild.

"How was that arrogant? What would they come up with if I'd wished for Barcelona as our next opponent?

"If you'd create a ranking, Dortmund would be third after Barcelona and Real Madrid. That's not arrogant, but objective."

Bayern drew Barcelona in the semi-finals, with the first leg coming in Germany on April 23.
