The Bayern Munich coach has claimed that the goalkeeper's horrendous error against Kazakhstan for Germany has been forgotten by the player, claiming that it was a one off errorBayern Munich head coach Jupp Heynckes has insisted that Manuel Neuer's blunder in Germany's 4-1 victory over Kazakhstan has been forgiven and forgotten.
The goalkeeper gave the ball away on the edge of his box after taking a poor touch, resulting in a goal for the visitors and the German's own fans booing him.
However, the 27-year-old's domestic coach was unconcerned by the issue, saying that it is forgotten and that Neuer is moving on.
"I have spoken with Manuel [Neuer] and it has been shelved, forgotten", Heynckes told a press conference.
The coach accepted that the error was a bad one, but claimed that it was a one-off and praised Neuer's form this season.
"Manuel was reckless", admitted Heynckes. "But with us he has been excellent this season - not only as a goalkeeper, but also in possesion of the ball."
The German side have been dominant in the Bundesliga this season and could seal the title on Saturday with a win over Hamburg at the Allianz Arena.
