The Bavarians have recorded just one win over the Schwarzgelben in the last three seasons, in the DFL-Supercup back in August, but the Germany international is ready to put that record to bed.
"We know what Dortmund can do and how they hurt us in the past," the 23-year-old was quotes as saying on the club's official website.
"We are strong, in top form and of course we want to start beating them again. The Dortmund game comes at exactly the right time.
"With a success on our home turf, our toughest rival for the DFB-Pokal would be eliminated."
BVB and Bayern kick off at 20:30CET on Wednesday at the Allianz Arena.
