The midfielder has set his sights on domestic success with FCB after losing out to Borussia Dortmund in each of the past two seasonsXherdan Shaqiri says Bayern Munich will do whatever it takes to win the Bundesliga title for their supporters this term.
The Bavarians currently sit atop of the league table with 42 points from 17 games, holding a nine-point lead over second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, and the midfielder is determined to keep up their current form.
"It would be the biggest highlight of them all if we were to lift the Bundesliga trophy next summer," Shaqiri was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"Our fans need something to celebrate again at last."
The Switzerland international also took the time to discuss his personal progress since his summer move from Basel, and voiced his satisfaction with the way things are going so far.
"I’m very happy with my first six months at Bayern, because I sense the coach has faith in me. Long may it continue," he added.
Shaqiri has made 12 Bundesliga appearances so far, scoring once in the process.
