Neuer: Javi Martinez needs time to adapt

The Germany international has stressed that the midfielder will need breathing space in order to get used to his new surroundings and team-mates

The Spain international joined Bayern from Athletic Bilbao for €40 million in the summer transfer window, and Neuer feels Javi Martinez will need time to get used to his new club before making any impact.
"He has to adapt to his new surroundings a bit. The Spanish league is different to the Bundesliga," Neuer stated to Spox.
"That's why people cannot expect too much from him right away. He will do a good job eventually, though.
"He's a very open guy and the good thing is that he speaks English pretty well for a Spaniard.
"Will his hefty price tag weigh down on him? You don't think about money when you step on to the pitch."
Javi Martinez made his official Bayern debut in last Sunday's 6-1 Bundesliga win over Stuttgart.
