Bayern drawn home against Kaiserslautern, Dortmund travel to Aalen in DFB Pokal second round
An all-Bundesliga clash sees last year's runners-up face the new boys in the pick of the ties, while the holders face lower-league opposition in the form of the second-tier side
Bayern Munich have been handed a home tie with Kaiserslautern in the second round of the DFB Pokal, while Borussia Dortmund must continue the defence of their crown at Aalen. The holders defeated Oberneuland 3-0 in the previous round of the competition, while the Bavarians cruised past Regensburg 4-0 to follow in their Bundesliga rivals' footsteps.
Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach, fresh from their 2-0 win over Alemannia Aachen in the previous round, travel to top-flight new boys Dusseldorf, while Schalke host lowly Sandhausen.
Giant killers Preussen Munster, who surprisingly eliminated Werder Bremen, have been rewarded with a home tie against newly-relegated Augsburg.
