Hanke: Gladbach want to entertain people
The German is back from injury and raring to go for the new season and is hoping to emulate last season's success as his side enter their debut Champions League campaign
Borussia Monchengladbach striker Mike Hanke has revealed that he is recovering well from his recent groin surgery, and is hoping that his side can recreate the brand of football that proved successful last season.Lucien Favre's side surprised many last season by securing a fourth-placed finish in the Bundesliga, beating Bayern Munich twice on the way.
The 28-year-old recently underwent surgery on a groin injury, but is well on his way back to full fitness ahead of the new season. And he wants to replicate the last campiagn's success.
"I feel good, everything is going according to plan," he told Express. "We do not want to take any risks, but I think I can already do almost all the exercises with the team.
"We want to play attractive football like last season. We are running around on the field with a smile on our faces. It would be a dream if we succeed again."
Gladbach continue their pre-season campaign with a friendly against Sevilla on August 4.
