Heynckes: Bayern Munich must confirm their reputation as one of Europe's top four clubs

The Bavarians made it to the final of European club football's elite competition last term, where they lost to Chelsea on penalties in the Allianz Arena, and their head coach is full of ambition ahead of the 2012-13 season.
"The minimum goal is to have a successful group stage and to reach the round of 16, but that should not be the end of it. Bayern belong among Europe's four strongest teams and we have to confirm that," Heynckes stated to uefa.com.
"The Champions League final in our own stadium is gone, it has to be forgotten. We all had a long break and time to process this. Now we are working on new challenges. I am sure we will enter those with enthusiasm and passion."
Heynckes also looked ahead to the 2012-13 Bundesliga campaign, and stressed that Bayern are ready to challenge Borussia Dortmund for the title.
"Who will win the title? What do you think our fans would say if I named anyone other than Bayern?" he added.
"Of course Dortmund are favourites after winning back-to-back titles, but we accept that challenge. I can also see Schalke and [Borussia] Monchengladbach challenging for the title again."
Bayern kick off their Bundesliga campaign with an away trip to Greuther Furth on August 25.
