De Jong passes Monchengladbach medical - report

The Netherlands international looks set for a move to the Bundesliga side after completing an examination by club doctors, despite there yet to be an agreed transfer fee

Rheinische Post claims that the Netherlands international has already completed his medical, even though the two sides have yet to settle on a transfer fee for the striker.
The move did not go through last week as Gladbach would not meet Twente's reported asking price of €20 million, although the Bundesliga outfit remain confident of striking a deal in the coming days.
Speaking at Twente's annual open day on Sunday, De Jong said: "I see the move as a good step in my career. The clubs are still negotiating, therefore the chances of my departure is 50 per cent."
However, Twente's chairman Joop Munsterman refused to be drawn into speculation regarding his star asset's future.
"In football everything can change so quickly," he said.
De Jong was in superb form for the Dutch side last season, scoring 25 goals in 32 league appearances as Twente finished the Eredivisie campaign in sixth place.
