The Bavarians were beaten by Chelsea in the final of Europe's most elite club competition, but the Brazilian midfielder is determined to shake off the loss.
"It was a huge disappointment for us all. But it’s time to move on. We need to get motivated again. We’ll do it because we want to win titles this season," Luiz Gustavo was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
The holding midfielder then stressed that he does not fear the stiff competition for places at Bayern, and added that he is keen to continue his development.
"I know what I’m capable of. And that’s why I’m happy when new players arrive at the club to strengthen the squad. I do my work day-in, day-out. The coach decides if I play or not. I think my chances are improving year by year.
"I feel I’m developing from season to season. That’s a good sign. I’m only 24. And if I can continue, then I’ll achieve a lot with Bayern and on a personal front too."
Bayern start the 2012-13 Bundesliga campaign with an away match against Greuther Furth on August 24.
