Midfielder Owomoyela, 32, joined the club in 2008 from Werder Bremen, but has seen his role in the side diminish significantly due to the emergence of Lukasz Piszczek at right-back.
Nonetheless, BVB have confirmed on the club's official website that he will prolong his stay with the Bundesliga holders, with sporting director Michael Zorc describing him as "an important part of the squad".
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Langerak has joined the former Germany international in committing his future to Dortmund, having extended his current deal until 2016.
The Australian joined from Melbourne Victory in 2010 and has played second fiddle to undisputed No.1 Roman Weidenfeller, although he is still regarded as a "first-class goalkeeper" in the eyes of Zorc.
However, one player who will be departing the club is defender Lasse Sobiech, who was farmed out on loan to St Pauli last season, appearing 13 times for the 2. Bundesliga outfit.
The towering 21-year-old had not turned out for the first team since being promoted from the reserve side two years ago and will now continue his career at DFB-Pokal semi-finalists Greuther Furth, again on a temporary basis.
