TEAM NEWS: Gotze and Muller on the bench as Borussia Dortmund and Bayern meet in the DFB-Pokal final

The two attacking midfielders will start the game among their respective side's substitutes as Jurgen Klopp remains consistent in his selection and Heynckes opts for Toni Kroos
Germany internationals Mario Gotze and Thomas Muller both miss out on a starting berth as Borussia Dortmund face Bayern Munich in the DFB-Pokal final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.

Jurgen Klopp has decided to stick with the side used for the majority of their Bundesliga-winning campaign, during which Gotze spent four months on the sidelines with injury. Ilkay Gundogan is rewarded for his excellent recent form with a starting berth, meaning Sven Bender must settle for a place on the bench.

Bayern Munich have a full squad for Jupp Heynckes to pick from, but once again Thomas Muller finds himself on the bench for a crunch game.

Toni Kroos will therefore occupy an attacking-midfield role as Luiz Gustavo fills in alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger in the holding positions. David Alaba starts at left-back meaning there is no place for Rafinha in defence.
