Mario Gotze: I will repay Joachim Low's faith at Euro 2012

The 19-year-old playmaker is eager to show the world that the DFB trainer made the right decision by integrating him into the national team squad at such a young age

Mario Gotze hopes to repay Germany coach Joachim Low's trust in him by playing a big role for the national team at Euro 2012.

The trainer recently stated that he believes the Dortmund man could be more than just a substitute at this summer's tournament, and the attacker has expressed his desire to step up and make a difference.

"Of course, it motivates me tremendously when the coach expresses this. I will make every effort to repay the trust with performances," Gotze told Bild.

The 19-year-old spent four months on the sidelines this season with a pair of injuries but returned to BVB's starting XI at the weekend, contributing one goal in a 5-2 win over Kaiserslautern. His aim now is to return to full fitness and compete in Poland and Ukraine this summer.

"The most important thing is to get back into the rhythm. The most important thing therefore is to work harder in terms of explosiveness, tackling and ball control," concluded Gotze.

Germany will kick off their Euro 2012 campaign against Portugal on June 9.
