Lukas Podolski is keeping everyone guessing about his next move by jokingly expressing an interest in playing for one of the top sides in Macedonia or Azerbaijan.
The Koln forward is out of contract at the end of next season and he has been linked with a number of top European clubs in recent months, including Arsenal and AC Milan.
Consequently, it now seems that the player is intent on keeping himself amused amidst all the speculation over his future.
Indeed, when asked about a possible move abroad during a press conference, Podolski replied: "I am concerned, of course, with international football.
"Basically in each league there are two, three teams who fight for the championship and the Champions League - including Macedonia and Azerbaijan.
"Therefore, in principle, every league is interesting. Each has advantages and disadvantages."
Podolski, who has been capped 95 times by Germany, has scored 29 goals in 75 appearances since rejoining hometown club Koln in 2009 after an unsuccessful stint with Bayern Munich.
