Koln's Lukas Podolski praises Borussia Dortmund's Jurgen Klopp after public row

The Germany international striker looks to end his feud with the 44-year-old coach, lauding the former Mainz boss' ability, after he had previously called him bitter
Koln star Lukas Podolski has moved to end his public row with Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp had suggested that the 26-year-old should be among the best players in the world, but is wasting his potential.

The ex-Bayern Munich striker hit back on Monday, saying that the 44-year-old was bitter as his asking price would be too much for Dortmund, but has now come out in praise of the rival side's boss.

"Klopp is a super guy and a brilliant coach. Everything else is forgotten," Podolski told Bild.

Koln travel to Bavaria to face Podolski's former side Bayern as they look to end 2011 on a high, kicking off at 20.30CET on Friday.
