Germany international looks set to remain in the Bundesliga as his agent inverts Serie A comments, while his current club hint at a new dealLukas Podolski's agent Kon Schramm is not interested in discussing a January move to Lazio with the press - just 48 hours after claiming a transfer from German club Koln was possible.
On Tuesday Schramm said his client was interested in moving to Serie A in a reaction to a report in Il Corriere dello Sport claiming Lazio were eager to spark dialogue over a deal.
However, the agent has now tried to distance himself from the speculation over the 26-year-old Germany international.
"In principle I don't comment on the subject now. And certainly not to Italian journalists," the agent is quoted as saying on Bild.de.
Meanwhile, Koln's director of sport Volker Finke showed he was not thinking of selling the striker to Lazio and his thoughts are set on a new deal for Podolski whose current terms expire in 2013.
"We are hopeful Lukas will stay with us. In terms of this, new talks have already started over a contract," Finke is quoted as saying on Tuttomercatoweb.com.
Koln take on Mainz in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon.
