thumbnail Hello,

The Poland international has expressed his delight with his three goals in Saturday's Bundesliga victory

Borussia Dortmund attacker Robert Lewandowski was over the moon with his side's 4-0 Bundesliga win over Augsburg last Saturday, and feels the title holders have shown that they still have what it takes to aim for top honours.

BVB had only collected four points from their previous four league encounters, and were beaten 3-0 by Marseille in the Champions League in midweek. Following Saturday's emphatic victory, Lewandowski was delighted that he could help his team return to winning ways.

"I have never scored a hat-trick before. This is special, not only because it is my first, but also because I did it in the Bundesliga, and especially after the disappointment of Marseille," Lewandowski told

"After a game like that, it is very important to show that the team still has a lot of quality. We have proved that we are still aiming for the top prizes.

"I hope it was a breakthrough game which showed us, and everybody, that we are still a very strong side and are back on the right path."

Borussia Dortmund have climbed to sixth spot in the table following the weekend's results. They have accumulated 13 points from their eight fixtures.
